While many of you were taking the holiday off today, we at America’s Best Baby Names were hard at work adding more than 30+ new names to our Curated List! I’m not sure why yet, but a certain trend continues to reveal itself whereby the subset of Names A – F are always the most popular, followed by G – L, then M – S, and finally T – Z. I’d originally divided the alphabet along those lines in order to create 4 roughly equal categories, but there’s no doubt about it: parents favor names earlier in the alphabet.
Second, I was just about to upload today’s additions when it struck me: a Presidents Day list wouldn’t be complete unless I included the best names from America’s Presidents (!) I can’t believe it took me this long to include such beauties as Rutherford, Dwight, Lyndon, Woodrow, Ulysses, and of course…Barack.
