
In the UK-- where they don't value education-- children turn out like Hugh Grant. You would never find such depraved behavior in an American celebrity.
“Economists estimate that the students who drop out each year result in $320 billion in lost wages, taxes, and productivity.” You were fortunate to graduate high school (even if you barely scraped by, like this guy), because the United States is the only industrialized nation where teens are less likely than their parents to earn a high school diploma, and dropouts are a drain on our tax dollars. It’s also a loss of human talent that we cannot afford since 40% of America’s prison inmates are high school dropouts (and these kids could otherwise be pursuing promising careers as fledgling bloggers). But still– $320B? Oh Parade Magazine, you and I are going to become fast friends…
